Bridal Lounge

First Congratulations!

Wedding photography should be considered an art. This is something that we truly believe in. As a photographer at a wedding we believe that we should be everywhere throughout the day without being seen or even being felt. We like to have an invisible presence while capturing the moments of your special day. Yes, wedding photography is an art and this practice is what makes it an art.

When you sit down and open up a wedding magazine there are many things that should make you say wow! The photographs that you see should capture many different aspects of a wedding day. You should be able to see and feel the different emotions from the family members, be able to imagine the interactions of all of the guests just like you were mingling with them and last but not least the wedding couple should have their most beautiful and memorable moments captured in photographs that will last forever.

It is our job to help you and your family remember every detail of your beautiful wedding day. This day is one of the most special days of your lives together. It is important that every blissful moment be captured in time. This is why we are here.

It is our pleasure to be a part of your special day and I look forward to being the photographer at your wedding.

A wedding takes a lot of planning which includes time, patience, and even some creativity on your part. What you need to keep in mind is that all of the hard work will be worth it in the end. You will have a beautiful day that you will remember and hold close to your heart for the rest of your lives.

When you work with Style & Grace Photography you will learn that our goal is to capture all of the emotions of your wedding day. After the long planning process, it is up to us to capture in images the beautiful bliss of your special day. We will work tirelessly and passionately from the beginning of the day to the exit of the newlyweds at the end of the night.

Creating Art

On your big day we will arrive at your wedding location much earlier and begin scouting the venue to take detail shots prior to the ceremony. As the day progresses, we will ensure that we cover all the photographs planned on our timeline beginning from the couple getting dressed all the way to your final exit and everything in between. In the days following, we will edit photos, blog your session, post some teasers, and also upload your photos to an online gallery so that you can share them with all your family and friends. It's truly our goal capture your wedding day memories in the best light possible so that you can cherish these moments for a long time to come!

1. MYTH ONE: Avoid neutrals, they wash you out!
Whoever started this myth couldn’t have been further from the truth. There are some colors that don’t work for some people, but for the majority of people, they look amazing in neutrals and those colors shouldn't be avoided. The truth is neutrals are the most photogenic color for portraits.

2. MYTH TWO: You two need to match!
Please don't try to match your significant other. Instead, try to coordinate! Coordinating is a completely different concept than “matching." Coordination means you are usually choosing different colors that look good together but are not close to being the same. I have some more tips about this concept in the following pages.

3. MYTH THREE: You have to buy something new!

False! If you know you look awesome in an outfit that you already have and it fits the style you want for your engagement session, that would be a great choice!

A little paragraph here for your clients about locations. How to pick one, how you'll help choose one that is great for them, what they should look for in a location, and what they shouldn't stress about in a location too!

Just keep it simple, let them know how you'll get to know them a little before to help pick this spot, etc...

And then touch on when you recommend doing their engagement session, like how soon before the wedding.

Something like ... I know you're saving space for those wedding photos, but this session is magical too! They are great to look back on to see how you were as a couple in a more natural everyday setting, and even better they are perfect for Save The Date cards!  These images also make gorgeous albums to use a guest book at your wedding!

Lots of great printing options here, so don't forget to make a special place in your home where these photos can live too!

let's print!

Such a fun one! I love these sessions because I really get a chance to get to know you as a couple, maybe learn that cute little thing only you guys do, etc... and this allows me to not only also fall in love with you but capture your relationship in a more personal way as well.  And this goes both ways too!

I want you to feel like I'm a friend as well, this will help us all be more comfortable working together on your big day! And when that friendship is there, magic happens.

Creating Art

In today’s world of technology, we spend a large portion of our day glued to the computer, cell phone, television, etc. This is why it is important that on your special day that everyone becomes unplugged so that the full attention can be on you as the bridge and groom.

You want to be sure that your guests will experience the day with you. For this reason, you should ask them to turn off all of their devices. For your guests to be truly present with you and participate in your special day it is essential that they unplug and relate to you.

unplugged for the win

The groom seeing the bride for the first time as she walks down the aisle is a time-honored wedding tradition. But these days, more and more couples are opting for a first look—an intimate moment between the bride and groom before the ceremony captured by their photographer.

There are a lot of reasons to do a first look, some of which benefit your photographer so we may be a little biased. But depending on your wedding day priorities, a first look can be the perfect addition to your wedding photos and to your big day.
